Partnership with Deptherapy

Deptherapy promotes an ethos that enables ‘at risk’ veterans who have suffered life changing mental and/ or physical challenges to re-integrate back into society, to give them purpose in life and to give them back their independence providing a positive and productive future for them and their families.

Deptherapy promotes an ethos that enables ‘at risk’ veterans who have suffered life changing mental and/ or physical challenges to re-integrate back into society, to give them purpose in life and to give them back their independence providing a positive and productive future for them and their families.

Some of those we work with have, after their injury or as a result of suffering from mental illness, withdrawn from society, some have become reclusive, some have thought of taking their own lives.

Our work would be impossible without the extraordinary efforts and generosity of those who support us. Deptherapy wishes to create compelling partnerships which deliver clear and substantial business benefits for the corporate world and raises vital funds to help even more vulnerable veterans.

There are many ways to support our programme members, however, Deptherapy’s belief is that to deliver strategic benefit to corporate businesses, there must be a reciprocal partnership between Deptherapy and our business partners. Delivered in a strategic and relevant manner a charitable partnership with Deptherapy can provide substantial benefits to companies in a number of ways including:

We will work with you to create a programme of engaging fundraising activities that can be a great way of bringing people together from different departments and locations resulting in enhancing working relationships, encouraging team building, boosting job satisfaction, staff morale and retention whilst supporting vulnerable members of society.

You can demonstrate your support for the Armed Forces by making a range of written and publicised promises setting out how your business will support members of the Armed Forces community, both serving and veterans who work for you or are consumers of your products and services. Deptherapy can help you fulfil your covenant commitments and if you’ve not already signed up we can guide you through the process.

Deptherapy programme member Chris Ganley served two tours in Afghanistan, shortly after returning home from his second tour he was involved in a motorcycle accident that resulting in the loss of his left arm, and other devastating injuries. Chris was basically rebuilt from the waist up. He now rides motorcycles competitively. The photo is of Chris briefing fellow programme members about a Red Sea wreck.

Deptherapy is more than a charity that seeks to rehabilitate our veterans through scuba diving. An important part of our success is the 24/7 support we offer programme members from the time they sign up to the programme until the time they are happy and willing to let go. Our team are all Mental Health First Aid for the Armed Services Community trained and the impact we have in turning around the lives of those suffering from PTSD is well recognised and documented. We are world leaders in providing and developing adaptive scuba diving teaching for those who suffer physical or mental challenges.

We have commercial opportunities available such as commercial sponsorship of our unique expeditions and flagship events or a collaboration through a bespoke cause-related marketing campaign. We’re extremely proud of the brand we’ve created, its ethos and the positive reputation that has become synonymous with Deptherapy & Deptherapy Education. The brand provides a great platform to show your customers that you’re supporting a great cause. We can tailor our offering depending on your needs.

An example would be that some of our programme members are exceptional motivational/leadership speakers, the emotion they bring to issues such as overcoming adversity and achieving against the odds. Such sessions are highly motivational for management and employees alike.

We could develop a leadership day for either for your top team and/or managers/ employees or where you invite business partners along to enjoy the presentations and appreciate your partnership with the charity. These would be led by our Chairman Richard Cullen who has run many similar programmes in the past and has spoken about leadership at many prestigious events around the world.

Events could be as short as an hour or as long as a day and we will work with you to determine the best option. All our presentations focus, as does Deptherapy on creating Ambition, providing Adventure, both of which lead to Achievement.

We would tailor any offering to your business needs.
